    Hey Tacoma World,
Need some help getting the Total Chaos spindle adapter out. Part #30004 (#10 in diagram pic, "ADAPTER - 9/16” TAPERED SPINDLE ADAPTER") I can't seem to figure out how do to do it. Bushing kit? Something else? Thanks.

Try a punch from underneath. Should be able to tap it up. Try a torch on the outside of the spindle to burn away any grease or rust that’s holding it in. The heat should also expand the spindle to make it easier.

I didn't have a punch for this, and modified a sawzall blade to cut it and then pull it out (had a spare tho). Some pics are in my build thread somewhere.

Hey All Tacos, I did try the punch, couldn't get it. I haven't tried heat yet, might give that a try. Thanks

It's likely a tapered fit, so treat it like a tapered ball joint stud. Hold a hammer against the other side of the knuckle where the adapter thing is, then (using a 2nd hammer) give it a few good hard whacks so that the energy is transferred through the knuckle to the other hammer, it should pop out.

Another option might be to put a socket or something in there from below to act as a spacer so you can pop it out using a gear puller.

Finally got it with a socket from underneath. Held the socket up and inside the spindle, gave it some whacks with a 1lbs hammer, popped right out.
    Thanks for the help ya'll.
