Water alone will get dust off. There’s no need for anything more fancy. Here in the great white north, we need to worry about water freezing to the windshield, the mirrors, and our eyeballs, so the government adds anti-freezing agents to our blinker fluid.

Lets say the "rumors" are true - not at all saying they are. The RainX works so well I would not care if in 15 years I have to replace the pump - it is just an electrical connector and a gromet the pump plugs into - that is it and you are done. On this vehicle it is even easily accessible. I use the Orange all year long and about everyday.

Yea, because the only reason anyone ever fixes a warning light is because they "can't handle it"

Orange Rainx fouled the sensor in my daughter’s Subaru. I need to unplug the sensor to get the dash light go away.

Ha - I had an old Corolla - heck my kid drives it , a 2003 mind you with near 200,000 miles on it.
    Engine light stays on -

Kid put a piece of electrical tape over it so he didn't have to see it.
    There.... fixed it LOL
