Nitori's OEM SR Foglight mod!

This is the part number for the stalk switch that worked in my 2023 trail edition. It was about $160 from the dealer. I’m sorry but no longer have the OEM fog bezel part numbers or the engine bay harness.
Hopefully someone finds this helpful.
The directions on how to do this job are second to none. Pretty easy for us pre wired folks.

 

Yes. this thread was really helpful. The stalk was the hardest part but no biggie.

The headlight Dimmer switch is the correct number for stalks with drl off setting.

i got the part new for $110.00 from a local dealer so shop around.

I’ve been following Nitori’s fog light installation guide for a while now, and I’m finally at the stage where I could use some guidance to wrap things up.

I’m working on a 2023 Tacoma SR 4x4 V6, and I’ve gone with the non-prewired installation method. I purchased all the recommended components including the 2nd gen OEM fog light switch (84160-04020), and I’ll be installing Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro fog lights in amber.

Since my truck came with factory-installed cargo bed lights, the cargo/deck plug is already in use. Through my research on the forum, I came across a connector with pigtails designed by @caribe makaira and sold by @kmorgan3, which taps into the cargo/deck plug. I have a few questions about this:

• Is this harness still available?
• Does it connect directly to the OEM fog switch (84160-04020)?
• If it’s still being sold, where can I purchase it?

Also, I’ve already bought the switch connector (90980-11090). If this piggyback harness sold by @kmorgan3 includes it or makes it unnecessary, I’d like to know so I can return it.

Lastly, I have a wiring question. When connecting the repair wire (82998-47010) from the M6 connector to the fog light switch "repair" terminals (82998-12340) what size butt connector should I be using?

• Do they make reduction-style butt connectors (similar to a PVC bushing) that can cleanly join wires of two different gauges?
• Any tips or part recommendations for this kind of connection would be much appreciated, especially since I’m still learning the electrical side of things.

Anyone know where I can buy a harness that plugs into my cargo/bed light connector so that I don’t have to splice the green and beige wire for illuminating the oem fog switch?
