I was skeptical but they look good on the truck

 

It almost looks like the Salsa red in that pic. I don't know if the Tacos ever got that color, some of the 5th gen T4R's did.

 

the swap has been done, but the wiring for the speakers is not present. I’m hoping I can get a harness from somewhere so i dont have to make one. The 08 had 7 wires in the door panel, the 2013 only has 5. So no speaker wires at all.

Then we look at the 2013, A DAMN BLOCK OFF PLATE INSTEAD OF A SPEAKER, TOYOTA I HATE YOU:



So i had to compare them. Everything about the 2008 door panel is better. So you already know I swapped the 08 speakers and door panels onto the 2013:

2013 on the left, 2008 on the right:







You can clearly see how BULBOUS the bottom of the door panels in the 2013 was. I gained 4-5” of cargo space in doing this swap, AND GAINED SPEAKERS BACK on a fully loaded truck that should have come with them to begin with…

I am so beyond tired of slamming the absolute fuck out of those rear doors to get them to close because of those stupid door panels

You know what i also pulled from an 06? The rear seat bin covers. They go all the way across because 05-08 dont have a center console like the 09+. But this only works if you are deleting your rear seats with a platform. Wish i had a picture for you

 

I am probably going to do that yet. Just haven't had the time. I noticed they’re definitely more spacious. Already did the COMPLETE rear seat delete on this truck

 

Might do this on my truck in the future, did the wiring for the speakers transfer from the old truck?
