So, long story short. I had a shop supercharge my truck. After break in of the magnuson, the water pump blew up and truck overheated. Got it back after cooling system was fixed and it had a misfire, took it to another shop and they borescoped the 6th cyl and saw it was gouged pretty good. I took it back and am starting to pull the motor.

Plan is to have a shop bore it out and get bigger pistons. Problem is, not sure what size to get it bored to, any ideas?

Also, what else should I do while its apart? Im thinking injectors and cams. Anything else? Will keep posted on disassembly

Can't bore these blocks, so I'd scrap that idea. I'd buy a new short block, fix any valve/cylinder head issues, and run it. If you wanted to ensure better durability with the supercharger, then maybe consider stronger pistons and use different rings with a larger ring end gap to account for the heat expansion added by the SC over stock.

Here’s the poop on the 3.5, page 9 gives the answer about why you can’t bore out the cylinder.
