How is it a risk? Are you suggesting they fraudulently put fake specs on their oil?

I been doing diy oil changes since 2020 in my JKU Wrangler with Supertech every 5k miles. Never an issue with it. I do put Valvoline in my Tacoma though. For no other reason that my derangement.

My coworker at the salvage yard went over 10,000 miles with no coolant and a hole in the oil pan in a F150 with the 300. Great little yard truck. Manifold would be glowing red by the end of the day but always started the next day. We were scared to shut it off mid day in fear it would lock up till it cooled again.
