    Howdy everyone -
So this is my first Toyota truck I am enjoying everything about it, but the gas pedal. I do not like having to mash the gas to get it to take off. So that is how I ended up here finding this forum.

My buddy, told me to check in to getting the truck tuned. Which is why I am here doing research as to what that entails. I also saw something about a pedal commander which is marketed as a something to make the gas pedal more responsive. I am here to learn and see what this truck is capable of.

I reside in southern PA, where I serve as volunteer firefighter.

Thanks - now to figure out lack of pick up power from the gas pedal. LOL

A tune and / or gear change if the tune is not enough. One step at a time.

Pedal commander and things like it just replace your foot action. Ie less foot for same response. Some folks like it. Some understand it's just lipstick.

Yeah, I need to find someone around me that can do tunes. I also might investigate a cold air intake too.

You have one from the factory.

But the aftermarket ones do make more noise.

Tune first my dude. You will not regret it. Start of with the milder pedal settings and see how you like it. Search for OTT tune. I personally am still on KDMax tune but no longer supported. Still love mine though.
