New here. I’d appreciate any knowledge I could get so I can save some money by not taking the truck in to a shop. I have the 2011 model. When I use the left turn signal, on my dash both the signal and the ‘R’ will both blink. The blinker in the back will not. The bulb was replaced and that seemed to fix it for a few days but it started happening again. Not sure if this has happened to others.

What "R" are you talking about?
    The R for Reverse?

Yes. It will start flashing on the dash in time with the turn signal.

Do you have the factory towing package or an aftermarket hitch with trailer wiring?

    Factory Towing. Everything is original.

The reason I ask is that on older Tacomas, the trailer plug can corrode and short out - causing all sorts of weird electrical issues. Open it up and see if you have a bunch of green goblins inside.

Also go to the bulb that was replaced. Then find the nearest plug connector. Unplug it completely and the reconnect it fully. I had a similar issue not long ago where letting the light housing hang by the wires while I got the new bulb out of the box caused a very similar problem.
