    If it overheated the head might be warped. Could take it to a machine shop and have them check it. If it looks good I'd recommend resurfacing it before re-using it, although don't take my advice on that. Not sure if these heads are suppose to be resurfaced.

    What's going on in that cylinder furthest from the camera? Looks like a bunch of debris in it or something.

    I'm not sure what's going on there. It's super thin black film that's very brittle. I'll be inspecting my top end for flatness. Very good chance it's warped.
