Should be this one, you can check if it has 12v on it with the key on to verify.

Got it all wired up, but when I send 12v to the relay, it just barely hums. And ABS light doesn’t turn on. I did test it before doing the relay, and when I ground it the abs light turns on.

A relay shouldn't hum, are you sure you power and ground is good to it and it's wire correctly?

Yep wired it per your instructions. Are you sure that pin 87 is supposed to be grounded? Everything else is solid. Wired directly to my switch pros.

Yea assuming your using a standard Bosch style 5 pin relay 87 is the pin we're switching to when the relay is activated, 87a is the normally closed pin so we want it hooked to power. Pin 30 is the terminal we're switching so we want that on the wire to the ABS module.

Pins 85 and 86 are our control pins so one needs power and one needs ground to turn the relay on.

Per the drawing, 87a is going to the truck side of the abs module harness instead of power.

Is the 12v off the car side of the harness not have a high enough current to latch the relay?

Truck side of the harness is power from the IG1 No 2 Fuse.

It’s a super thin wire. Is it possible that it doesn’t carry enough current to latch the relay?

We aren't using that wire to power the relay, your switch pros is supposed to be doing that on Pin 85.

Isn’t 85 just the trigger? Like not powering the relay, but just closing the coil? My brain is cooking at the moment lmfao

A relay is nothing more than a switch, putting power to pin 85 and ground to 86 turns the switch on, taking one or both of those away turns it off.

The other 3 terminals are your switch terminals, 30 is the common, 87a is normally closed, and 87 is normally open.

You said the relay is humming, check that you have 12v between 85 and 86.

Only 9.3v. That’s what the switch pros is outputting, but only on that channel, which I don’t understand.

Interesting, maybe that's a PWM output for something?
I don't know anything about what you have.

Are you ready to hand me the dumbass award?

I was running out of spots on my switch pros, so I consolidated my rear lights onto 1 switch, and used the empty one for the ABS switch……

I forgot to turn off output dimming, and it uses memory, so it remembered that I had it on minimum brightness. Turned dimming off and now it clicks as it should and the light comes on the dash.

edit: I should add here that I did go through and turn off the strobe functionality before testing all of this, and I meant to turn off output dimming but didn’t, but thought I did. Lmfao

dude thank you for your help. Many times I have been a dumbass on here and you’ve helped me figure it out.
