I just bought a cheapo $3.99 HF mini LED flashlight that charges while plugged into the cig lighter. Can the '19 Taco electrical system handle me just leaving this plugged in the port all the time?

Yep all good. As an alternative to the cig lighter type, there's this usb one.

Have quite a few larger flashlights in truck at all times, one being usbc rechargeable and always plugged in to the center console port. As well as an air freshener diffuser. They only turn on and charge with ignition.. Had a cig light too but it broke. So I put dual usb ports in both sockets and everything is usbc chargeable now.

But for a mini this lil guy is freakin awesome. Just ordered a 2nd one I liked it so much. And a 3rd for a gift.

which one? i wasn't aware hf carried any of those.

but i've also tried them before, and most of them are pretty abysmal in output comparatively in the flashlight world anymore.

i much prefer my rovyvon a3

    found it. like i said...

i've ran those style lights before. now they're in my junk drawer. specifically, i had the 'spotlight' brand version, and got them from cabella's pre-bass pro buyout, in cabella green.

that spotlight brand one is likely very similar in output. but not as cheap, which is a decent positive. but my biggest gripe with the form factor, is that it's IN the truck. i never know i need a flashlight until i'm outside of the truck, normally 100' away. so i found myself walking back to the truck to get it. far easier to carry a small 600+ lumen flashlight like the A3 in my pocket than all those extra steps keeping it in the truck
