Go for it! Would be funny to see how much money can be spent in one shopping trip. A silly amount I’m sure!!

I’m a Nikon guy and my all time favorite is my D700 with the 28mm 1.4 and 85mm 1.4. Great combo for portraits. Now unfortunately rocking up to gigs with a 17 yo camera is frowned upon so that camera is actually up for sale right now and probably hasn’t been used for nearly 10 years!
For work my fav is the D850, such an awesome camera, with the grip it fits my big hands perfectly and does everything as it should. Dynamic range is awesome, af is lightning fast and noise is really well handled. That’s where now the D700 falls behind dramatically, in good light it’s still awesome though.
I have Z9’s but I prefer shooting with the D850’s. A couple of things… I hate the evf, the shutter button is too sensitive (I wonder if the Z8 is different?) and you get zero haptic feedback when you take a shot. With a dslr when the mirror moves you get feedback as to what your shutter speed is. Also it’s too small for me, the bottom of my palm rests on the vertical shutter and accidentally triggers it, yes you can lock the vertical shutter with the switch but that’s annoying. I wish Nikon would implement a code in the software so the vertical shutter is only active when in portrait mode.
I would probably be better suited to a Z8 with a grip due to the little bulge where the grip joins the body.
What camera are you using at the moment?

Wow, that m6 is a small body, I guess the thing that makes it too big for me would be the glass.

It fits in a pocket and can be tethered easily. But it does mount to the 500 pretty well :)

So back in the day I had a Pentax K-1000 - hell I still have that beast somewhere I think, although my daughter took
it many years ago and ended up with 3 Masters Degrees and is teaching Film at a major University so it paid for itself well.

After a 25 year hiatus I bought into the digital world, with a Nikon D3500 for a good price. Started understanding the digital
world and after 2-3 years rented the D7200 and some lenses from lensrentals.com .... ended up keeping that D7200 and it
is far superior to the D3500 in every way. The D3500 takes a damn good image no doubt but the viewfinder and other functions
    of the D7200 are fabulous.

I'm retired and have to watch every dollar especially in today's world. I do have a ship that is still out there and I'm waiting for
it to come-in, and depending on what that ship delivers I might have enough to pay off the house, buy my son a real car, and splurge
on a trip to the PNW with a new camera in hand.

Was cleaning out (destroying) old tax info and stuff that needed to go and came across this print that I took back in '89 in the Redwood Forest.
Was leaving the forest with my Pentax K-1000 at a high ISO and low shutter speed and slung the camera over my back - shutter was released
and I got this image - turned out to be the best on the entire roll...

    Pretty versatile!
I do wish the LX had a little more range, it does have an intelligent digital zoom to 150mm if you shoot in jpeg with limited degradation.
Nowadays though with LR you can supersize a cropped RAW file pretty neatly if needed and I always prefer to shoot RAW anyways.

I still want this bridge camera though. Used prices of everything have gone up though, especially nice cameras. 2 years ago you could pay a LOT less than today, partially due to the resurgence of “compact” cameras.
Look at the Sony RX100 vii, released in 2019 for $1200, then got a bump to $1299 and now a $400 bump due to the tariffs to $1699. That camera should be discounted or should have been replaced by now! People are selling their 6 yo cameras for the same price that they paid originally!!
    Craziness…

    Accidental discharge…

This shows you don’t always need a master’s in fine art.

The color palette and painterly feel is inviting and would lend itself to a nice print.

Artistic abstracts like this seem to work better than grand landscapes for wall décor.
