Looking to confirm a wheel/tire fitment: 265/65r17 on 17x9 -12 wheel

I have looked but I couldn't seem to find a similar setup as to what I am looking to do - most are going to larger diameter and wider tires with lifts which I am not. Is someone able to confirm that the stock or LT 265/65R17 on a 17x9 -12mm offset will clear on a 2022 TRD Sport 4x4 with stock suspension? I do not want to get into a lift - just looking to widen the stance on a truck that mostly stays on the street. Thanks for any assistance on this. Cheers

 

A 265 width tire on 9" wide wheel? Check what width the tire manufacturer recommends.

As for the offset, I ran 265/70r16 at -12 for awhile, and it had full articulation, no rub points.

 

Thanks for checking me - BFG KO2 LT265/65r17 indicates 7.5-9.5" recommended rim width. Cheers

 

Did you ever figure out if they rub? I am about to do that exact setting, 265 65R17 on 17X9, -12 offset.

 

Sadly, I can not confirm this setup. My research suggests 265/65R17 on 17x9 -12 'may' rub but I do not have first hand info to rely on. I am tending towards a 17x9 0mm wheel but not convinced the -12 offset is a real issue - round and round I go.... Hope someone shows up and puts this question to bed.

 

I actually have an a appointment this Friday for installation, I purchased a set of Rocktrix RT116, will use my recently purchased A/T tires in 265 65R17, Rocktrix said if we stay 265 65R17, everything should be fine. I'll let you know.

I had them installed this morning, 265 65R17 A/T on Rocktrix RT116 17X9 wheels, -12mm offset, no rubbing at all!

 

This is how much they poke out!

 

You have done me a great favour! I would have been wrong - my flawed math had me convinced the 0 offset wheels would have looked like your -12 wheels. Thank you!
