Hi, I have a 25 Tacoma TRD off-road 6mt non premium package truck. From the factory I did get the standard power lock option for included for the tailgate on my trim level, with the 3 button remote,
Soo yes I can lock and unlock the tailgate with the remote, what I don't like is not being able to individually command the tailgate open by itself!!! Hate how all the door open with the tailgate. Was wondering if anyone has tried to upgrade yet to the premium package 4 button key fob (part number 8990h-0C012) , with the tailgate release on it????

Tailgate release button is only for trucks with the automatic tailgate option I believe.
