Jill Todd, will be asking Toyota to buy the truck back after she finally gets around to opening the hood to find that the scoop on the Sport is non functional.

This is what happens Larry. This is what happens when we raise entire generations with way too much emphasis on self esteem and no emphasis on self reflection and constructive self shame.

We get adult children who can’t comprehend spending two minutes researching how to buy the vehicle they need.

This is what happens, Larry, when you turn an adult child loose with money, self importance and the modern nightmare of social media.

This is what happens Larry, when you allow AI to generate fake text and fake images.

It’s not artificial intelligence, Larry, it’s Fake Intelligence.

A 4Runner isn’t a pickup and plucking down a lot of money for one in 2023 only to find it didn’t suit the needs of the buyer should have taught the buyer a lesson.

Nope. We can’t be bothered to even read Toyota’s excellent web site where we would have found we could get a factory brake controller bundled with a lot of nice options. We could even have gone a step further and got upgraded seats with the premium option that were made from modern synthetic leather that’s much nicer than the old vinyl we used to get and more durable than real leather.

This is what happens Larry when you can get 7 major trim levels and 3 or 4 major option groups within most of those trims and then offer hybrid on top of all that.

We get children Larry. We get children blaming the manufacturer that they bought the wrong truck.

Bring back the Sear’s Christmas Wish catalog Larry. Bring back waiting weeks for mail order. Teach these people about choices and consequences Larry. But don’t make the rest of go back to waiting for weeks or having limited choices because some people can’t handle it Larry.

This thread’s so far off the tracks you’ll wish for the good old days when people just complained about leaky front timing covers.

so what happens when my wife's phone is already there, big brain?

you are missing the point. there was a button in my third gen and there should be a button on the 4th gen. my pro has one blank switch on the center console and one blank switch on the left side switch bank that could easily be used to switch it on and off.

I have seat airbags. And while not power, the seats have similar tracks and range of motion, just not as fine (granular) as electric provides

My iPhone stops charging if it's too hot. Maybe all phone don't do this?

yes, i would imagine most phones made in the last 15 years have that built it in. having it get too hot because of charging is not good for the battery.

again, not the point. if they did not remove the button to turn it on only when you wanted that wouldn't be an issue.

Why didn't she just buy the truck with the Softex seats to begin with? Sure people want to cover those to protect them too.

"Someone who clearly has no experience installing aftermarket upgrades finds it difficult, blames manufacturer."

    Huh.

Seat covers have always been a little tricky to install. If she needed leather so desperately and couldn't install covers herself, she should have gotten a truck with that upgrade package. Same with the brake controller; it's not like it's not an accessory you can get. My guess is that you probably can get a factory brake controller and plug it right in. If not, it's an accessory aftermarket equipment installers have been doing successfully for eons.

"More and more pickup and SUV owners are opting for at-home upgrades?" Actually, pickup owners are some of the most prolific DIY-ers, tending to come from demographics where self-reliance and a DIY attitude is valued more highly.

I hope the author had a hard time sleeping after writing this trash.
