I was in the process of switching my battery terminal clamps on my 2013 trd offroad before wiring a set of dirch lights. The reason for that was because I already have a few accessories on my clamps and wanted to manage it better, I found a set of clamps with multiple posts I can simply screw my positives into and same for my negative. My ground stays factory, and my positive clamp only needed slight modifying. Unfortunately I now have no power whatsoever to the truck, I’ve checked each and every single fuse both inside the engine bay and in the car under the dash. I used a multimeter and attached the leads to the negative and positive terminal and got a good read. Still no cranking sounds. No door chime , lights radio, NOTHING. I disconnected my accessories and put the old clamps back on, sadly still not even a click or a single light. I tried checking the battery again, and even tried to give it a jump, all led me to the same result. Can’t think of what else it could be, and I’ve gone through every possible google link I could find. I’m hoping someone on here could help.

    Does your horn work?

Did you check the voltage at the battery positive and negative with a meter and all the wiring connected to the factory condition?

How did you check the fuses, Remove and check for continuity OR did you check for voltage on each side of the fuse while plugged in?

I would use my meter and test for voltage on each side of every fuse using a multimeter.

I don't see any one fuse that will drop all power everywhere.

Isn't there a big ole main fuse tucked away somewhere?

Try the horn. If it works. You have power.
If not, you have to check the big 120/50a fuse. You can’t just check them like a normal fuse. They are bolted in.

Well there is AM1 and AM2 and the big ALT fuse. To be completely dead AM1 and AM2 would need to be blown or ALT and AM2 and even then the Starter Solenoid would still be powered.

This will get you 90% there. (if read correctly, it will save a lot of diag. time too)
If horn doesn't work, check horn fuse. If Horn fuse is good. Problem is between battery cable and fuse box.
If horn works, Try brake lights, if they don't work, Check 120/140a fuse.

Follow the proceeds until you find what does/doesn't work.

Wow, you guys were all a great help, a lot of great advise that led me to find the issue. I found the problem before I was able to reply to each individual message.

I’ll try my best to explain, as I only have very little knowledge in residential electrical work. And I’m a mediocre YouTube mechanic lol

I was away from my home for most of today but I called a local mechanic in the neighborhood to come over and take a look. I showed him all your suggestions and walked him through everything I did before it went dead on me.

we checked everything from the horn to the lights and radio

We checked the voltage on the battery terminals and then on the clamps both the way I modded them and then in its original condition before I started switching things around.

we checked each and every single fuse again, both inside the car and under the hood, none were busted , and then we used the multimeter to check the continuity as well.

Which led us to realize the power to the fuses was not being supplied even with stock clamps and a good battery

the problem was indeed the connection from the battery to the main fuse box, somehow the bolt that connects the positive side to my fuse box got lose, not sure how that happened since I only unbolted my terminal clamps.

I simply tighter that connection and it started back up again!!

you guys saved me a lot of headaches and money so thanks a lot!
