The new ones are really nice. If I had no need to haul/tow anything large, I would rock one of those so hard.

What do you haul/tow that’s large with a Tacoma?

I’m ocd neurotic and I have sold almost brand new vehicles over noises that shouldn’t be there, that being said every Toyota truck and suv I owned (I owned at least a dozen) I lifted every single one without issues but I do lift it the “proper” way (suspension lift with uca etc) the only time I ever had an issue was my single cab Tacoma had a deaver leaf pack that raised the rear too high after I took my gfc off so the pinion angle got pretty extreme I had to go to deaver and have them remove a few leaves and de arch it

if you’re having issues you have to properly diagnose what’s wrong could be the struts or shocks failed or improper install

thousands of guys lift their rigs without issues

I have no desire for a huge lift. But traditionally ALL 4x4 vehicles set up 2-3" higher than 4X2 trucks from the factory. In an effort to get SLIGHTLY better fuel mileage all 4X4 trucks are actually LOWERD now. I just want it lifted enough to be where it was years ago. Done right it isn't a problem.

Ford F250 factory suspension from 1967-1977. This was about 4" higher than the 4X2 version and was the most extreme. But just about all 4X4's until the 1990's were about 2" higher than 4X2's

Do you grease your uca op? Not greasing explains a lot of your noises also double check that everything is torqued to spec

what’s your wheel offset and tire spec do you have alignment numbers?

F and R straight axles, manual hubs, leaf springs all around, single cab, a bed that actually carried stuff. May not have drove like on rails but who gives a shit. Absolutely beautiful. My Chev ‘87 V10 was a 1/2 ton version of this Ford.

I don't have any idea what's wrong with your truck but you should wear your fucking seatbelt.

You sound like the type of person who complains that their A/C isn't working after getting an oil change.

    I'm on OEM 3rd gen 16" alloys with 265/75r16.

It's more of a metal clunk and it hasn't done it a few weeks. Knock on wood.

Think the clunking is the RF eibach strut is blown.

I'm going to have a shop replace it as well as the intermediate shaft steering shaft.

I agree, I installed the lift myself. It's just a hassle to wrench on stuff all the time.

Wasn't there something around the sway bar with clunking? (trying to remember) Like they all do it if the angles line up just right, and could the lift bring that out a bit more? My 2013 did this a lot going down my hill / corner driveway. Don't notice it as much on the 23. Always assumed it to be the bar, just never caused issues for me.

Try removing the sway bar and see if the clunk disappears for good....then address (reloc kit wasn't it?)
Uunless I'm totally off base :anonymous:

because of some of these reply's, I really wish we could down vote.

OP, you have a 2013 and are just now lifting it? Problems may have to do with the age of the truck, you think?
