    I THINK you just need a 48409, and a 48190 per side. The rest can be removed and reused as long as they are in decent shape. please verify before you buy parts. I can’t easily verify where I am at the moment.

    By looking at the small amount of rust on the LCA’s and on the back of the brake/dust shields I’d say 97% chance they are seized.

    Yeah, if those aren’t seized I’d suggest they buy a lottery ticket.

    I will be upgrading my uca and adding bilstiens to my Tacoma &

    I want your honest opinion if this were your truck;

    Im debating on only buying the cam adjuster bolts(in case they are seized) OR going ahead and replacing my LAC as well….if I do buy new lac they will probably be after market(mavotech or freedom off-road)

    which aftermarket’ brands do you guys have good/bad experience with?

    Also do you guys recommend I get another bolt besides the cam adjuster that could potentially be seized or is it mainly the cam bolt ?

    I don’t want to spend unnecessary money if I don’t have to ..right now my truck is a 2012 sitting on 80k miles.

    should I replace my lac or leave them ? Please vote

    My vote is to replace everything. OEM hardware and lower control arms (LCAs) are the best choice when it comes to quality and longevity. That said, if you're looking to save some money, I totally understand. Just keep in mind that aftermarket arms may not last as long as OEM—typically, you can expect around 50,000 miles before the ball joints start to develop play.
    If you're aiming for a more budget-friendly option, I'd recommend sticking with OEM hardware and going with a reputable aftermarket brand like Moog, Mevotech, SKP, or Centric. They’re all fairly similar in terms of performance. None of them stand out significantly above the others, but they’re solid choices for the price. If you can squeeze it I'd really suggest OEM LCA's simply because you won't have to worry for for easily 150k - 200k miles.

    do they look like I should replace them to you ? If possible I wish I could just change out the hardware and keep my lcas.....also what about freedom offroad have you heard about those at all? I dont really want a greasable lca because I dont want them to fail incase I forget to grease them?

    The main issue isn’t how the arms look - it’s whether the cam bolts are rusted and seized inside the inner sleeve of the bushing. If that’s the case, they’ll likely need to be cut out, and at that point, you’ll be forced to buy new control arms. No way around it.

    It really comes down to what you’re willing to risk. You could try replacing just the ball joints and picking up new hardware, hoping that you or the shop can remove the old bolts without too much trouble, and that the sleeves aren’t so corroded that it affects proper alignment. Or, you could just play it safe and replace the arms entirely, especially since a lot of guys on this forum (myself included) have had issues with rusted bolts getting stuck in the sleeves.

    Unfortunately, I don’t have personal experience with Freedom Offroad arms, but from a quick glance, they look decent and would definitely be an improvement over your current setup. I know it seems like a big job but it's really straight forward on Tacoma's and with fresh bushings and ball joints your truck will feel much tighter and direct, you'll be happy.

    I’m overhauling the suspension on my truck right now and just replaced the lower control arm bushings and ball joints.
    You’re in NC so your alignment cam bolts might “not” be seized in the bushing sleeve. Mine were and I cut them out. A lot of my hardware was still in good condition, be it a little surface rust that was cleaned up with a wire wheel.
    That said you won’t know what hardware needs to be replaced until you remove your arms. I was surprised also by the price of the OEM hardware.
