    OH WOW !!!

Being a Zonie and an Amateur Astronomer, I have spent thousands of hours under the stars at night. I can pretty much ID anything that moves in the night, on land and sky. I have only seen situations 4 times items that confused me.
They were high flying, no lights, whisper quiet objects. I can't offer an explanation for those. I don't let it/them bother or stop me from going observing.
There is something to what he says. Don't know what happened to him ...............

A few snaps from a recent trip to Baja. Hundreds of dirt miles, 2500 miles overall, made it as far south as San Jose del Cabo and Todos Santos.

So long short story...I grew up and live in the San Francisco Bay Area. LOTS of Military and Government stuff around here. LLNL, Moffett Field, Lockheed, Stanford, UC Berkeley, etc... There are lots of little "secret facilities" in the hills and back roads and underneath hospitals and colleges.
Anyway, its like 1987 and we are teenagers up in the hills above San Jose / Milpitas. Up drinking and smoking and hanging out and stairing out over the Bay at night. (Facing west) Its a spot called the Launch Pad because everyone crashes off the road there street racing in the hills.
From behind us, we can feel the air pressure change. Its not wind. Its a pressure change. Like it got more still and eerily quiet. So we all start looking around behind us and above the Calaveras Reservoir Valley (facing east), we see an enormous triangular shadow moving super slow for an aircraft. Its dead quiet and about a mile off. All our jaws are wide open. It slowly comes towards us and crosses over the reservoir. The moon casts a shadow of it on the res and outlines the shadow for a few moments. It soon "floats" passed us above our heads. Not sure how high. Like airplane or chopper high but, not stratosphere high. I'd guess 25-30mph at most.
It passes us and heads straight out over the Bay, which is a couple of miles, but we can still see the "shadow" blocking out city lights, low clouds, and stars and stuff. It hangs a sharp left and heads south and we loose track of it. There was no noise except us being awe struck teenagers and chattering at one another.
I know there is a jet propulsion lab back in those hills. Lawrence Livermore National Labs and a bunch of other skunk works locations. They've lost a couple engines off their test pads and they shot out above the bay and blew up. This was super weird and we high tailed it outta there and went back to town to hang out instead of the hills.
We've had "police" roll up on us back in those hills too. Not normal cops. Cops with AR's back in the 1987? Not normal cops. And we were WAY back deep into back roads and dirt roads screwing around at night. My buddy and I hiked up a creek once back there too. We went for half a day and ended up at a fence with a sign that said "No Trespassing. Deadly Force Authorized...blah blah blah" We turned 180 and went home. haha
