Looking for this truck!

This was my beloved 2001. I sold it trying to follow Dave Ramsey’s financial plan. Loosing that truck haunted me for years! This is my current 2.0 version. I’ve added a few things that I would have done to the first truck if I would’ve kept it. If you can’t find that first truck, don’t give up the dream!!

 

You would think Dave Ramsey would have known keeping the taco was in your best interest for transportation. Epic fail.

 

In other news, I’m trying to track down my high school girlfriend? Has anyone seen her? Just an address and her daily schedule would be fine, I’ll take it from there.

This right here. When looking at a vehicle semi-recently to purchase, I was weary of some of the maintenance history (or lack thereof). It looked like all work was done between 2-3 different shops, so I called each, asked if they could look in their systems to see if the car (identified by VIN) had been in their shop for a specific service (120k/timing belt - 300zx, if you know you know), and you'd be surprised how willing each shop was to tell me anything I wanted to know.

Most shops would be weary of giving out another customer's personal contact info, but also, most people are more than willing to listen about your pride and joy story and accept a $20 bill (or for free) for placing a call on your behalf to the owner and asking permission to share their number with you. People love happy ending stories, and IF they can actually help, they often will (within the rules).

If you don't want to buy the carfax, you can often just create a Toyota owner's account and add the vehicle by VIN as if you're the owner and see the maintenance history on it. The Carfax will likely give you a little more info though, and a better chance at contacting at least one of the previous owners to get you closer.
