I guess I lost a horn. I'll replace them but what do I do with the loose connector? It looks cut. Did someone steal it? Lol.

I was in the desert this weekend. I thought maybe it was so hot that it melted the wires? Anybody else ever lose a horn like that?

The car alarm seems to be working fine, but the horn is obviously broken. Maybe it rattled loose? Really im perplexed.

The horn is broken or missing alltogether? Wern't the wires cut?

My guess is that that bolt that used to hold the horn that is missing came loose, that horn fell down and was still attached to the connector/wire.....the dangling horn probably bounced around for a while, sill attached to the connector/wire, causing the wire to become detached from the horn that is still present....then the horn that came loose fell off its connector and is lying in a ditch somewhere

The 2'nd horn is completely missing. I didn't cut the wires myself.

I think you're right. I was in the desert, and it was over 100. Maybe the heat caused it to finally rattle loose, and I didn't know that it was already a little loose. Does that wire need to be solder on to the new horn? I ordered a new pair.

It was cut and removed. If it had fallen off and after bouncing awhile, then the wires broke, there would be damage to the radiator or condenser fins, they are VERY fragile.

Do you take your ride to any chain garages for services like oil changes?

And yes, cutting horn wires before attempted theft is a thing but few will actually remove the horn.

Wind blowing on it when driving..need to secure it.Its like if you put a wire in your hand and repeatedly flexed it back and forth, eventually it will break.

No, I don't take it any chains. I had it in the shop recently, but they didn't seem shady. I went to palm springs over the weekend and noticed the horn stopped working then. Very strange. Do you know if I can solder the wire onto the connector? Or do I need a new harness? Never done any electrical work before.

Find a junkyard horn with the connector attached with a couple inches of wire. Splice in and call it good using watertight connectors or heat shrink.

Uninsulated butt connectors, a good crimping tool (doesn't have to be expensive), and adhesive lined (waterproof) heat shrink is the way I like to go

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...

It goes to the 2'nd horn I believe. The one that is still on the truck. Maybe a ground wire, but I'm not sure.

I’d go for the junkyard or eBay for a stock horn… when I got my truck it had two high tone horns and sounded like a vw bug… make sure and look on the horn to see which one you have left and get the other
