Bell town 4th Ave. Neighborhood went to shit. Drug addicts run rampant shitting in the streets and tearing through the dumpsters like rats. This was a high rise build among others supposed to cleanup the neighborhood. More like push the vermin over a couple blocks. Seattles gone downhill. No one wants to work down there anymore no less visit.

Did another 2hrs over at the neighbors. This time used the mini hog on the excavator.
Tomorrow gonna go back over with the tractor & stump grinder. Get all the areas we have cleared of stumps so that he can mow it with his rider.

Looks like after that it will be maybe 1 or 2 more sessions & then he's on his own.

I honestly had to look at a map to jiggle the brain.. I didn't frequent that area when I lived in Federal Way, I was more into the Pioneer Square area for bar hopping. This was in the early 90's.

Oh early or even late 90’s Seattle was still the emerald city. Cleanest town I ever been to till they bussed all the losers up there to shit in the streets. Pioneer square is a shithole nowadays. Anyways I’m out in Snohomish county at the foot of Steven’s pass and haven’t been to Seattle in a couple years but it ain’t no picnic anymore

I was stationed out at Sub Base Bangor (Olympic Pen) in the mid 80's. Coming from the east coast we were amazed at just how clean Seattle was and what a a great city to visit. I'm really sorry to see what's happened. Every coastal city has just gone to shit and it's really sad to see. Hopefully we can get things turned around but it won't be easy.

Guy had a tiny trackhoe delivered to the plant yesterday. It was a little smaller than what I want, but who knows it might just be the right size for me too.
I'll ask him about it when I get a chance. I was heading to our daily meeting and had to go.
By the way I missed the meeting :rofl:and they asked where I was.o_O

Damn, about 6 pages of posts since I was here last, I really need to keep up.

Flip-flops help, but I don't recommend them. I was riding back from a local swimming pool when I was about 15, my bike had pedals like that. In a turn while pedaling, my foot slipped off the pedal and into the spokes on the front wheel, below the horizontal fender brace. I got the meaty part of the ball of my big toe ripped off for my trouble. It was hanging by a small piece of skin and I had to ride another mile to get home, all the while dripping blood. Doctor stuck the piece of hanging meat back in place and wrapped it up. 55 years later I don't even have a scar there.

Nice looking tractor. Yanmar makes a good machine, I had one of the gray market import Yanmar "paddy tractors" from Japan and it was a good machine. My present JD 2520 is actually a re-badged Yanmar, the mfg plate on the frame says "Made in Osaka, Japan".

My 2002 JD GT235 garden tractor, which I bought new has a B&S Vanguard engine and has been nothing but perfect for 23 years, runs great, is pressure fed and has a oil filter and even a small oil cooler on it. Deere uses Kawasaki engines now on most of their larger GT's .

Like everything else though, the new stuff just doesn't seem to last like the older stuff does and is twice as expensive. If I were looking for a heavy-duty garden tractor today I think I'd rather find a used older one in repairable shape and fix it up.
