2024 Tacoma 14 inch screen swap question

Awesome Mod! This screen was one of my deciding factors on my truck. I wish I would have known it was this easy. Maybe I would have chosen differently.

 

Excellent write up. Do you know if this swap would work with an SR5 that does not have the jbl system?

 

How much was the total cost of the parts involved?

 

Any videos of how to do it??

 

Has anyone added the 360 cams yet if you’ve got 14” screen is it doable? Or even just adding grill cam would be nice

 

Curious as to if the screen was vin locked? Do you have any problems with factory nav or the computer system not working fully?

Where did you source the 14” screen? Random person or dealer? What’s the source?!?!

 

Also could you link the part needed for used odometer/engine start button housing/cover?

 

The OP said he got it from ebay. If you are planning on getting one from the dealer then you might as well trade your truck in and get one with it since it is over $10k list price.

 

That's going to hurt out of warranty I'm sure the smaller screen isn't much cheaper if at all. Not that I think anybody is going to need to replace screens after the warranty is over. It would probably be cheaper to replace the truck considering the list price.

 

By the time your 3/36 warranty is over, there'll be plenty of donor trucks in junkyards.

Already looks like a steady supply of 86100-AK030 on ebay selling for $1000-2000.
