No worries on the 700 miles initial travel, good break-in. I traveled 450 miles to get mine back home. I, too, got rid of my 2nd gen (liked it a lot), but the 4th Gen is a better truck, imho. And congrats on the new truck.

    Been a busy few days.
    • Installed DV8 trailing arm skids.
    • Installed the track bar correction kit from Dr. KDSS.
    • Moved the gas can carrier on the Victory 4x4 rear bumper swing-out so it was flush with the swing-out instead of perpendicular.

Track bar correction. Bar is close to level.

The gas can before. I didn't like how it stuck out. This was how Victory 4x4 intended the can to mount.

The can is now mounted flat to the swing-out. A little measuring, drilling, and new hardware, and it was done.

Private sale. They were taken off a TRD pro with approx 7,000 miles. When I contacted Toyota to see what MSRP would be/get part numbers they said they can only sell these with a TRD pro VIN tied to the sale as a “replacement”.

I didnt verify the kit part number. Toy-Truck was just asking about the coilovers/shocks. I do see what you're referring to regarding the kit part number though. Not sure on that one.

funny thing is, I pretty confident it's out there as I was talking to my local dealer service tech about doing a lift and he said they'd install it with the advantage being if the dealer installs the parts and labor are warranteed. However, don't know what upgrade he was referencing, the TRD OR equivalent or the Pro. At the time I didn't know the Pro kit existed so he may have been indicating the OR version for my SR5.

Of course, I probably should be asking if either of those suspensions would even work on my SR5. For example, get a 4th gen take-off TRD Billstein set for around a grand and install. Would it be enough of an upgrade from my stock SR5 4x4 suspension to justify the $?

    ...thoughts?

I have an SR5 as well. I plan on putting Bilstein 5100s on mine later on. I had those on my '14 before I swapped to Fox, and i enjoyed them.

If you can, take side by side pics and/or measure lengths of stock and Pro struts/shocks.

OK. I just put in the part number someone posted above saying it was not available without a VIN.

Did the RAV-4 Volume knob mod, and tossed in an OEM bed mat (shout out to Toyota of Dothan for actually having these in stock):

Looks like knob sticks out further and probably easier to grip? Did you have to pull the guts out of the new knob to make it fit or is it a direct replacement?

Yep, sticks out further, is larger, and has a rubber coating on it. $15-$25 from various Toyota parts suppliers. It's a one-for-one swap, easiest mod you'll ever do. Gently pull off the OEM knob, and place this one on the post.
