Yeah, I could do that and get me a hard hat and I would be all set.

Good deal! That's what I'm finding too. The dealer has one coming in tomorrow and I'll go check it out. My dealer has an online store run by Revolution Parts that's a little cheaper but they may not actually log the seat belt into inventory for me to buy it that way. So it could be a little higher price but these are pretty much getting hard to find, so have to go with it.

Side note - It 'may' be possible to remove these without taking the entire side panel off, but it's a pretty close fit. Be careful pulling the panel to release the clips. This is one of a couple of videos where someone is removing the LH seat belt (it's titled 2002 but he corrects that in the video that it's a 2004), right up your alley.

For those with a 2001 (7322004130b0 for 2001-2003, Base 3.4L V6 - Gas, Extra Cab, Bucket Seats, MT) is the part number for the 2001 but I was getting the 'hazardous materials' warning and unable to ship or even discontinued. But oddly enough, I asked the local dealer about part number (7322004141b0 - 2004 Base 3.4L V6 - Gas, Extra Cab, Bucket Seats) which says it doesn't fit my vehicle based on the VIN, but they were willing to get it to their dealership. Note the "B0" is for charcoal grey, that suffix is different for other interior colors.

When it came in I went to take a look and it's identical in every way (new one on the right). Not sure why Toyota wouldn't update this 2004 part number, and if you have a 4-door or a 60/40 bench seat, it's possible this wouldn't work but it may be worth peeking behind the panel to see if you can identify what you have with a visual inspection, or just try the VIN first to see if they have it.

Funny, I had read Toyota had increased the tension on the new part, but only feels like it has slightly more tension on the belt. Ha! Using advice from some threads here on TW like cleaning that upper loop the belt goes throughhelped some, also the PTEF tape over the loop was a little help too.

Well, no joy. Soon as I started it up, I'm getting a slow flashing airbag light on the dash. I've read about checking the seat belt connector but SRS connectors have an additional safety clip that locks the connector in place. Going to start a new thread to see if anyone has had the issue of replacing the seat belt and then getting the airbag warning light.
