man im really confident tht after replacing fan clutch.....you will be "Too Cool for School"
(as far as the AC temp coming out of vents!!!!)

also means tht all your toil on AC was done correctly!!!!!!!

Well after replacing the shrader valves and fan clutch and then charging the system temps still aren't where they are supposed to be, could only get 55 at idle and 48 at driving. Basically no gain. I'm starting to thinkaybe that's just what these new components can achieve. Maybe quality has just gone down over the years or the refrigerant is just crap nowadays. Idk. I'm at a loss and about to give up

Sorry if this has already been suggested but you may have an airflow issue. The condenser fins are tight and can trap debris. What passes thru can collect on the surface of the radiator also disrupting airflow. Without knowing the H & L pressures, I would definitely confirm this is not your issue.

Thanks for the reply. It's a brand new condenser. Low pressure is 40 high pressure is 225.

You can always confirm with thin piece of cardboard. It should stick firm to the condenser at 1500 RPM's.

70°F Ambient temperature: Low side pressure 35-40 psi High side pressure 145-160 psi
75°F Ambient temperature: Low side pressure 35-45 psi High side pressure 150-170 psi
80°F Ambient temperature: Low side pressure 40-50 psi High side pressure 175-210 psi

If the high side is running higher than normal blocked condensers/radiators are one of the most common causes of pressure issues that fall outside car AC normal pressure readings.

Are those at idle or 1500rpms for those pressures?

Charging and pressure readings are always done at idle RPM.

AC neighbor (as he is) needs a ton of info for even commenting
    No Help

when we just recharged my Fozzie last weekend….found it interesting that he only used L side to suck in appropriate amt of Freon. Only had H side hooked up for readings
Just asking if you did the same?

Yup, charge through low side is the only correct way to do it.

    Well hells bells

I flabbergasted that new F clutch didn’t solve issue, especially when F spun freely after shut down

    IMO
    -u have addressed all AC parts/o rings/valves
    -pressures seem correct
-blows warmer when taco not moving
    -fan clutch replaced

    What about what Diehard said
Restricted airflow from condenser (you RR’d) AND radiator?

    rad fins free from obstruction?
    How old is rad?

when I did my overhaul (basically every gasket/o ring bc of oil leaks)
I never had overheat issue b4
    Cleaned/flushed rad overnight with vinegar
    After assembly
1st long test drive @ hwy speed, saw temp going up…..had to turn heat on
    Made it back home
    Replaced rad next week
Never had a cooling prob since

Radiator is new. Probably less than 2000 miles on it. Replaced it last year and I don't drive this truck much. I'm wondering if I just need to take it to a shop if I'm gonna get to the bottom of this. The only parts left that I haven't replaced would be all the AC lines. Not sure how I would check for a clog in those. I blew acetone through the lines and didn't see anything come out before I put it all back together.

I mean I blew them out and didn't see any gunk or anything notable come out. The acetone went right through.

If pressure holds, not the lines
    IMO

I will try to re-read entire thread
