    Is this specifically the A/C only working on high, or is it the fan only works in the high position? Because if it’s the fan speed adjustment, then it is very likely your resistor.

    Had the same issue multiple times with my 2009. Probably changed the blower motor resistor 5 times. Finally found the best solution I've had so far.
    Fit perfectly and there seems to be no "looseness" between the male and female ends which I believe causes the unit to fail. Give this a try. I know there is a thread for how to change it, but just make sure you use this style of resistor. Good luck!

    @Kocksan

    I just want to double-check this part number you provided... Dorman 984-693.?. It states "with Select Toyota Models Scan Tool Required to Program". Did you to program it?

    I have been putting up with my Fan only working on High for bout about 3 weeks now. Is this setup any different from the guide mentioned in the second comment?

    There's nothing to program, not sure why they are saying that. It's nothing more than a resistor, there's no smarts about it.

    I'd recommend using the OEM updated parts instead of dorman though.

    As Dm93 states, there is no need to program the part. It has been working excellent since installation. As for taco206, I think he may have just got lucky with his part, good for him. All can say is that after going through multiple resistors like the factory one, this one has lasted the longest and seemed a better fit than the original part. Hope this helped.

    I don't have any links but these should be the latest part numbers.

    It's a bad blower resistor, under the passenger side where the blower fan is, you'll see a connector with 4 wires. disconnect it, there's 2 screws holding the resistor in place. You can get away with taking a pick and bending the contacts so makes better contact but the issue will come back, wiggling the connector will buy you some time. I bought a blower resistor OEM from Toyota and installed it, it was from a 3rd gen tacoma (i dont think they make the 2nd gen ones anymore). I had to find the pin out and cut the existing connector and install the new pigtail w/resistor. took me about 20 min. Tools needed, wire stripper and some crimp butt connectors. I would have soldered but its kinda in an awkward spot.
    Let me know if you need a pin out I can take pics of the wire colors when I get a chance.

    I am having a hard time matching the colors of the wires to solder together from the old connector to the new square style connector. Would you mind posting a picture of of the wire colors you matched? Thanks
