I’ve been lurking for a while coming up with options for a subwoofer and amp to go along with my factory Car-Play head unit. Initially I was looking at installing a mono-block amp and a single 10” sub. Then I started watching YouTube videos and saw a video by Provo Beast. In his video he uses a 5 channel Kenwood amp that processes high level signals so a signal processor like an LCI2 wouldn’t be needed. In Provo Beast’s setup he uses a Skar Audio 10” sub box but uses a 10” Kicker Comp RT because it’s 2 ohm stable. Total cost for that setup would be around $700.
I also saw TrailGrid Pro has a sale on an Alpine Powered 8” sub with a small 4 channel amp for the door and dash speakers for $650.
Not looking to spend over $1000 and I don’t need a ton of bass. Would you guys have better suggestions of what you would recommend? Is the Alpine setup decent?

That should sound awesome! You pretty much knock out everything in one kit. I ended up buying a Kenwood 5 channel amp with built in processor. Amp wiring kit, speaker wire, T-harness, Skar 10” sub box and Kicker 4ohm dual voice coil sub. Probably got in a little over my head.

I’m going to try and follow the instructions on this video and install it myself. Total cost is around $750-800.
