Hey all first post here, stumbled on quite the issue today

Truck in question is a 2006 Tacoma, I have recently replaced all my tire sensors including the spare with brand new autel sensors with a TS508 and had my TPMS light off and the system functioning normally for a few months until today. I just got a new MK808 scan tool and was digging around with it and ended up accidentally initiating a TPMS test.

Now the TPMS module live data reads it is in test mode and the light blinks rapidly without stopping. Ive tried the TC to CG pin jump and this gets the light flash to slow down but as soon as the jumper is removed the blinking goes back into rapid flash. No trouble codes are present on the module and the sensors are registering with their IDs and pressures. I have also tried to relearn the ecu on the sensor IDs with the TS508 but the tool gets an error redirecting me to the TC CG jump.

So it seems i am stuck in test mode, A test drive after caused no change and nothing online seems to get me any closer to a solution. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thank you all!

Not really sure, service info is kinda vague on it as well.

I appreciate the link to the Tacoma specific service info, I tried my best to use the info in there to get my TPMS ecu back into normal mode and off the rapid flash to no avail.

However I am ecstatic to update on here I was able to fix my issue and I want to update this thread in case anyone else ends up in my shoes and finds out like I had the other week that there is absolutely no easily found solutions.

I really didn't want to admit defeat on this issue and went on a deep dive, I was able to find one post about someone with a Sienna that got stuck in this really similar sounding mode also by messing around with a new scan tool and had it fixed by a dealer relatively quickly and cheaply. So I figured the solution cant be too horrible if the dealer was not quoting that person new modules or antennas. I ended up in the mentality that I needed to get access to Toyotas Techstream program and get a way to connect my laptop to the truck. I had found some really cheap $20 cables but kept getting conflicting info if they worked as some cheaper cables seem unable to access all the modules and especially the TPMS module. I ended up finding a post on here of someone getting a $60 Vxdiag VCX Nano cable to work with techstream to program their new sensors in and I figured if they could get it to work for that it would be worth a shot for my issue.

Happy to say that was my solution, using that cable and techstream I was able to get the module back into normal mode. It took some exploring and I'm not 100% what specifically reset the module but when I was in the Tire Pressure Monitor Live tab I could see that the status was in test. I then went into the utility functions and attempted to go into signal check mode but got an error, I then did a health check on the TPMS module and boom light on the dash was off and when I went back into the live tab to confirm and to my joy the mode was in normal!

So lesson learned on the scan tool and hopefully this can help anyone else stuck with a rapid flash tpms light.

    Glad you got it fixed.
Did you try Autel tech support? I've contacted them twice and they have been great both times.
