Why Hog Rings?

    Go with the hog rings for all the notes reasons. Metal zip ties have sharp edges and will rip out of the material. My Dad was an upholsterer also.

    Any seat I have worked on used hog rings. Installed and removed with hog ring pliers and cutters.

    seems stronger and more portable than zip ties.

    a good pair of hog rings pliers can reach into the tight space better than a hand can. And squeezes the hog ring tight to installed position. They are cheap.

    Oh yeah, hog rings are definitely stronger. I figure if I pop a zip tie, I'll just pull the seat again and fix it.
