Its literally the only thing that helped it. The Dealership refuses to believe its a problem and they wanted me to leave the truck for a couple days to do it so i just bought the damn carista thing. worth every penny. i also changed the amount of times the blinker goes on when i tap it.

Is the consensus to leave noise canceling ON and turn engine noise OFF? Or, both OFF?

Turn both off. I left noise canceling on, but after reading this thread, I turned it off. It’s much better.

Not necessarily quieter, but the weird rumble is gone now.

I'll have to take your word for it. I find it quieter than my wife's '22 Sienna. Not sure if $54 is worth it for now.

    Carista to the rescue.
I first turned off the engine enhancement and still had the 2000rpm drone. I was bummed.
Then I turned off the active noise canceling and it's now quiet.
Haven't driven on the highway yet, but I can confirm the 2000rpm drone was certainly related to the active noise canceling.
If there's a bit of tire or road noise now, I'll take that over constant droning.

    Two questions

Can I run the Carista app without the subscription?

    And

Can I make a custom gauge cluster on a tablet for Trans temps?

At first, I just turned off the engine noise enhancement. It definitely lowered to volume of the drone, but not completely. I switched off the noise cancelling and the drone basically went away. But here's the weird thing: My ears must be sensitive to a sound frequency this truck makes, because now I get this weird ear pressure sensation like there is an elevation change happening while I'm driving. I basically have to yawn to "pop" my ears & relieve the pressure. Really weird. I'm going to give it a few days to see if my ears adjust. If not, I'll be switching the noise cancelling back on...

I turned the engine sound enhancement back on, still no drone. I'm going to leave mine like this:
    ANC - OFF
    ESE - ON
Drove on the highway today and was completely impressed with how the truck sounds now. I can't believe that they would allow the noise canceling software to cause that terrible droning sound...
    Best $60 mod!

    Me too.

I ran mine with and without the Active Noise Reduction. It's quieter when turned on.

That's crazy. Mine sounded like it had a Mangaflow exhaust around 2000rpm, especially under light throttle or coasting when the rpms would hang in that range without shifting. As soon as it would shift then everything returned to being quiet.
My wife could hear it too, so I don't think it's something only a portion of people hear.
Would have loved to keep the ANC turned on, but oh well.

Ditto. I've mentioned before I test drove three trucks, one Sport and two SR5 and they all sounded different. I bought the quiet one.
