Ok another high school true story.
In 8th grade there were about 4 or 5 of us who hung around together. One girl was the most gullable thing on the planet...
Anywho, One day, one of my buddies brough a manikin's arm in and we covered it in the old "vampires blood" and stuck it in that girls locker. Then we caught up with her getting off the bus and told her that someone had escaped the local nuthouse and was last seen sneaking around the school, trying to break in. We told her he had been locked up for hacking up kids in another school. He would hide in the big air ducts grab a kid, hack em up and put the parts in varous lockers.
Now the whole time we're feeding her this story, we're walking to her locker. She asked why are there so many hanging around us? Oh...safety in numbers...yep that worked.
Now, she gets to her locker and opend the door. She's not even looking in, but she rummaging around for a book or something. She pulls out the bloody arm and holy pit-shickles, the scream that echoed thru the building and brought out every teacher to see who was being skinned alive.
She flung that arm down the hall and left a bloody skid mark.
We were laughing so hard, some were literally rolling on the floor.
Then once she came to her senses, I thought she was gonna murder those responsible.

If that wasn't enuf, we did her one better in high school....

    Stay tuned....

Early 70s, dad was a self employed machinist. Before super glue was likely made available to the public. Well there was about a 2oz bottle in the shop, lol, yes I borrowed it. I took it to school, put plenty of it on a buddies shoe. Rut row, he pulled up the tile in the class room stuck to his shoe. I found my way to the principal's office. I didn't sit down for a day or two.

Early 70s still yet, some buddies and I set up a makeshift carnival on the corner of flag place and locksley rd. I was at the dart board with dart in hand. Ann Marie macavinny stood in front of the dart board, lol, she must have dared me. Yup, I threw the dart and stuck it in her leg. Yup, few more days I couldn't sit down.

Hahaha that's great. That's my kind of shenanigans.

My buddy Jared used to pull people shorts down in gym class, when were lined up for rollcall on the baseline of the basketball courts.

Another buddy Steve, we had a small engines class we took, they came up with this idea to have a 9th hour of sorts, where the last hour was really an elective of some sort, there was a model making class, small engines, all sorts of stuff.

The small engines teacher, I remember, he was so mad at Steve, he picked up him and slammed him and held up against a locker, his big high top sneakers and scrawny body dangling like a Christmas ornament. We were in shock to be honest, but you could do that to kids in the 80s and the parents would pat the teacher on the back for it.

    High school shop class...
We had a foundry and if you wanted to cast something you had to bring in your own aluminum.
All of a sudden, old lawn mowers sitting out behind the shed, evaporated. We would bust them up with sledgehammer, out in the parking lot.
So I spotted a cannon pattern and was determined to cast one.
Come the day to pour...you could hear the furnace roaring from halfway down the hall. We got the sand mixed and pattern rammed up. There was about 4 or 5 of us pouring that cannon. Mine was the only one to turn out decent enuf to finish out.
I got a book from the library on how to make gun powder and did so.
Yep she fired and I still have it and the ball that was found a week later.

    whatttttttt?!?

It blows me away to think about the machines they let us use at age 13 and 14.

We were using lathes and drill presses. There's no way a 13 yr old in 2025 is using these machines. lol

    Maybe in Texas or Florida.

    Oh..oh..oh...

Remember the little plastic dog in the back window of cars.
Head would bob around and eyes light up when braking...?

    Oh...I remember...woof..
