    Yeah I do.

I also remember old people displaying things on the rear decks of their cars. Ball caps from the VFW post etc.

Eighth grade shop class. Cutting a piece of walnut on one of those big, stand up industrial bandsaws. Tink, tink, tink, freaking clueless, than boom, I hit the deck so quick as the blade exploded. Scared the hell out of me. Pretty sure the shop teacher knew it was about to happen. Anyway, tells me I need to bring in $5.95 for a new blade. Never did. Scarred me for life..don't think I'll ever run a bandsaw again. Terrifying.

Woodshop, metalshop and auto shop. Made me what I am today. From my understanding they've all been deleted from education or indoctrination. Had my 1st granddaughter reading a tape at 8, she had the let me do it attitude. And I let her . Always turned the wrench the right direction. I could go on and on.

EVERY given task is life experience, pile it on them. They're sponges.

I had home economics in the 7th grade. We cooked stuff and then ate it. Nothing was better. I also had typing class (aka baseball card trading class).

    Remember...?

I still have my Merlin and my Charger Light Beam car and both still work....and Sputnik is only a few months older than me.

Growing up, I always wanted to find out why something broke. I would disassemble it and sometimes fix it. I love small engines.
You may not belueve this, but I have never purchased a new or used lawn mower. And yes, I've owned my home since 1985 and mow my own lawn. I rescue lawn mowers, fix them and use them or sell them. Weed whackers too.
My first engine was a REO horz shaft from a reel mower. At 11 or 12 I spent hours trying to get it to run...and one day I did....once I realized I had been winding the rope on the pulley the wrong way.
