    2025 Tacoma TRD Sport
I'm brand new to this forum and about to buy a new 2025 Tacoma TRD Sport. On rare occasions I will be towing and need trailer brakes. I understand that unlike older models the 2025 does not have a plug for aftermarket brake controllers. I'm not interested in tearing my new truck apart and jury rigging wiring to a cab mounted controller and not willing to pay the $4K price of the Toyota package which includes a factory controller so I'm looking to use a Bluetooth module from Curt and saw elsewhere in this forum that a user is having good luck with it. My question is this: are all 7 pins on the 7 pin connector that comes standard functional? If yes then I assume it provides power to my bluetooth module? Or do I need to buy a truck with the towing only option (not the $4K package) to get a working 7 pin connector? Many thanks.
