OK, proceeded to install hood struts on 2025 Tacoma Limited with Non Hybrid Engine. Found when installing RH side lower bracket that it is too close to Thermal sensor on Negative Battery post. So took bracket to vise and did a double bend to reposition it closer to fender and thus away from thermal sensor at negative post. Took video while closing hood to check, no interference with sensor.

I didn’t notice that when I installed mine. What brand? Mine were Redline.

Techpicco from Amazon, From what I can tell brackets for yours and mine appear to be identical, and I asked myself how many places actually make gas struts vs the companies that put their own stickers on . As far as working , they work just fine, smooth and raise right up quickly. I suppose time will tell. I am retired GM tech and I used to replace these all the time , but mostly older vehicles when time, heat cycles of open close etc affect durability. Not sure if all models have the Temeratur thermistor on the battery post , the install pictures did not show it on their model, but was a Tacoma 4th Gen

IMG_3536.jpg Ah. I have a 2025 Pro hybrid. Quite a bit different, which is surprising. See pics.

I am retired having been a 40 yr Driveability ( mostly) tech at Gm Dealerships. The Hybrid or Ev for that matter , technology is better than it used to be reliability wise. At this stage of my life I chose to remain with the more simpler powerplant. Each to his or her own. Am sure you will be happy with the extra power an electric motor will provide and Toyota does have a decent warranty on those items. I came out of my 1st Tacoma a 2019 SR5 V6 which after it had the trans software update was a good reliable truck, never let me down at 65K miles. If these new gen4 do the same i will be satisfied.
