I saw this really nice oem fuel tank skid plate for sale and it’s off an extra cab first gen Tacoma. Will it fit on my double cab? Or will there be fitment issues due to it being an extra cab?

Thanks for the reply. I found a really clean oem one on marketplace for 40 bucks. Hopefully it goes on smoothly.

That copy has my interest. Not many reviews and the one about the double cab screams QA/QC issues.

I have the LROR and it’s nice. Can’t speak for the copy version. There’s a discussion here somewhere about it being decent? Anything from fleabay and the book store screams CHEAP

    I tend to agree.

I also have experience working with Chinese factories… if one of them happens to be making LROR offering (I have no idea if this is true or if LROR makes them in house) then the factory will have no issue selling the exact product, under a random brand name, directly through Amazon.

Both are made from 3/16 steel. Who knows about the quality of the steel, if it’s the same or not?

Yea. There some very minor difference as far as mounting holes. The thing I question is $300 vs $170 price point. The funny thing is, the $170 comes with powder coating or some paint while the $300 is bare metal. That says a lot IMO.
