    Good morning all,

Made it to the town landing yesterday afternoon and even found parking. Watched the small sailboats from the sailing school go back and forth. Yesterday was a rather down day but sitting in the sand helped a bit. It’s going to be a cloudy day with some showers later this afternoon.

Maybe it’s a signal to a roommate not to come in. Like leaving a tie on the doorknob.

Find a bus tour or rent a cab for the day and get to Sintra (edit: pronounced SEEN tra) which is just north of Lisbon. It’s a must see. There’s lots of castles and palaces. The Tower of Belém is also another tourist stop in Lisbon. Enjoy yourself.

Morning all. A fun day of filling the wife’s car with gas, picking up some dogfood and packing for back-to-back work trips, one for my wife and then one for my work. Anyone know of something fun to do while I’m in Columbus, OH?

I don’t want wet seats so I guess it’s the truck first followed by the hot tub

Catching up. Only a few days left in my vacation. Spent some time with my grandson.IMG_4293.jpg

Went to Portland for a weeklong conference. View from the room was nice. In the dark even better.

And now I’m resurfacing the deck. The PNW is brutal on wood deck but my hatred of composite materials keeps me going back to real wood. Found some kiln dried tight knot Alaskan Yellow Cedar at the lumber yard. Coated it 4 sides with oil based sealer/stain in Mahogany tint. Had beautiful weather until I got done staining half the boards then a marine layer came in and rained on my parade. With dogs and kids and work looming it’s demo half resurface half. Decided posts and balusters will be painted black and top rail will be matching stained Alaskan Yellow Cedar.

Day trip to Mansfield. Ohio State Reformatory is there. It's where Shawshank Redemption was filmed. https://www.mrps.org/tours/. There's also a beautiful old carousel in the heart of town.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
EAA departure traffic is nuts. A plane gets cleared for takeoff about every 10 to 15 seconds.

That’s great (tour). Enjoy. I was the ASME chapter president in college.
