Looks like a game of chicken. They have all that usage data collected and probably paid for your likely purchasing score. I will gladly call their bluff and not bite until they call chicken.

The end of August. Gonna hold out until the last minute I guess. Not crazy about paying for a service other manufactures provide for free...

Finally got my EKR seat covers installed. As others have noted, they are super tight and take a little teasing to get in, but they are well designed and I really like the look. My only beef is that the rear snap straps that hold the bottom seats up no longer work as they didn't punch a hole in the upper side of the seat where the snap is. Funny thing is the EKR folks made sure to put a button hole in for the strap on the side of the seat, but not the upper seat (see pictures), both driver and passenger side. I'll address that issue with an exacto knife down the line, just cut a small X in the fabric on top of the upper snap and stretch the material over it.

Lastly, finally booted up the carista and turned off many of the in-cab noise makers as possible. It is a complete blessing to not have that damn seat belt alarm screaming at me 10 seconds after I get in the truck and put it gear. Haven't messed around with too many of the other settings like the engine noise maker, get to that down the line.

Discovered nice feature I didn't know about that I toggled on (may be in the manual): holding down the unlock button for a couple of seconds lets you roll down all the windows at the same time. Great for venting the summer heat out of the truck as you walk across the parking lot to it.

FWIW, if you clip the seatbelt around the seat bottom when it's lifted up, it keeps it up very well, without cutting the seat covers. And for my money it's quicker and easier than trying to get that damned annoying snap to actually snap.

Nice. I'll try that next time I want to keep it raise up. Aftermarket should come up with a gas shock. ;)

Which one is this and what did it cost? The fit looks it’s an original seat cover
