Front is lifted rear is not.
I recently bought a first gen and it's 4 wheel drive. The front has been lifted but the rear hasn't. I hate, absolutely hate the squatted look. I bought 3 in blocks to go under my rear leaf springs, tried to install and the parking brake cable lifted up the axle while I was trying to install. How do I go about installing blocks? Do i need to take leaf springs off and go over the cable or is there an easier solution?

You will need longer u-bolts. Loosen one side at a time by removing the 4 nuts on the plate and with a jack, lift the leaf up. Carefully place the block between the leaf and perch, this is the most challenging as the spring force can crush fingers etc if come loose.

I already bought longer u bolts. My issue is the parking brake cable goes over the top of my leaf spring, when i jacked up my truck and undid my u bolts to put the block and new bolts in, the cable held the rear axle up where I couldn't fit the 3 inch block in between the axle and the leaf spring. Is there any way around it. Do you have any solutions for my parking brake cable being in the way??

Fabricate an extension bracket to move the cable above the leaf or get a shorter block
