I have a issues with my ac. When I turn the on/off nob slowly the light blinks after 10sec or so it still blows air but not cold But when rapidly switch from off to high the ac stays on and blows cold as normal. Idk if this has been talked about before so excuses me I'm new here lol. Any help would be appreciated

Do you speak of the blower control as the 'knob'?

Cause the AC is a button.

So the A/C light flashes unless the blower switch is on high?

I don't know, that doesn't make sense that the blower switch would cause the A/C Amplifier to flash the light and disable the A/C if turned slowly.

All the blower switch controls is the blower and HTR Relay which powers up both the blower and signals the A/C Amplifier that the blower is on.

It wasn't blowing cold for a couple weeks now. And yesterday in frustration it flicked to high real fast and it stayed on and blew cold I was shocked. Then the next morning leaving for wrk I turned it on normal thinking it was going to work again and it didn't. Blew fresh for a few seconds and a/c light started blinking. Thought on it all day at wrk and was trying to figure out why it worked the previous night and it dawned on me right before leaving for the day. So I tried flicking it on fast and it worked and ac stayed on whole ride home. And now I'm here asking lol

I don't really have an answer.
I mean we know what causes the flashing A/C Light, it's when the A/C Amplifier doesn't receive the correct signal from the compressor Lock Sensor when it commands the MG CLT Relay on.

I can't see what it would have to do with the blower switch though.

Ok today was a different story. It did work but not on first try. Had to turn blower switch on and off a couple times then it finally stayed on

Probably not super helpful but I have similar symptoms except basically in reverse lol. If I turn fan control straight to high with AC on, especially when a really hot day and/or at idle/moving slowly. Blows cold for maybe 10 20 seconds then goes warm and light starts blinking. Once I start driving and turn it off and back on it works again. Has been doing it for over a year now, almost exclusively in the summer heat. Only once while cruising at around 78 deg.

Replaced clutch fan during cooling overhaul and still does it.
