Was looking at a 2025 TRD OR this past weekend that had the scene lighting and a factory tonneau cover installed. I saw wires just kinda dangling in the front of the bed. Is the normally how this is wired, or is the wiring for something else? I don't like the idea of these exposed wired getting pinched by a piece of plywood or something else in the bed of the truck.

Water drain lines from tonneau cover. Although I think mine are more symmetrical. The left one in that picture seems to go an awful long ways to get to the hole it's in. I think there's a hole on the left that's closer that matches up with the distance the right side is using.

Either way, this “solution” is ugly. Wish they figured out something less kludgy.

I wouldn't either. Without going out to check I thought there were 4 holes across the front but could be wrong. Or you have 4 holes there but they're all over the place :).

Interesting. Thanks for identifying what they are! I don't have a big problem with water in my 3rd gen with the factory 3-piece tonneau cover. There must be something about the flat-style tonneau that would cause water to otherwise collect and sit somewhere. I'm interested in a tonneau cover that also allows installation of a rack, so maybe its worth looking into aftermarket versions.

The drain lines are for the bed rails.
