20250705_160108.jpg I recently bought a new 2nd gen. The old one R.I.P was destroyed in an accident in 2022. But its memory will live on in this new truck. Its a 2014 base 4x4 4.0l with the 5 foot bed. Its at 251k miles and from what I can tell has been well taken care of for most of its life. It drives great and I can find no issues mechanically (a small bumper impact happened a few months ago which is why some trim is missing). I know a lot has changed in the market since my father built the 2006 I was driving. Are ARB bumpers still good? Is Icon still a good choice for suspension and what are the best bushings, etc to get for an overlanding/daily driver build. 20250705_160557.jpgIts been a while since I was last here and thank you to any advice.

Not in a 2nd gen but my 3rd gens my daily and only vehicle. My original plan was to start with the smaller stuff as the trucks pretty capable right out of the box. I got a tonneau cover first, some mud flaps next (tired of rocks hitting my shit and im assuming the people behind me), and some better looking taillights. Before I got laid off and become broke the plan was for a roof rack, maybe a bed rack that would work with the cover but was more leaning toward a bed tent set up as I dont think my dog could climb a ladder to a roof top. Some auxiliary lighting was on the list too.

After that Id work on a small lift and bigger wheels/tires, with bumpers being my last thing. Haven't really planned much else as my dream got cut off XD
