What spacers is everyone running? I wanted to switch to slip on spacers but I having a hard time finding longer extended bolts. I bought 1.25 inch extended stud spacers, put them on last week and the bolts on the spacer snapped while I was driving today. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Spidertrax or Bora are the only way to go. Spacers are something you absolutely do not want to cheap out on. And you want ones that bolt to the factory lugs and then have their own that the wheels bolts to, not the kind that get sandwiched between the wheel and hub.

Can you show us exactly what kind of spacers you were using?

And now you know why Bora are almost $500 for a set of 4 and not $100. Take as a lessoned learned. Get some Bora or Spidertrax.

i would bet they were not tight. as another person running some Amazon spacers for 50k miles on a 7k tacoma that gets beat on, and tow things its been fine, just make sure things are tight.

Generally, you don't need spacers on the rear wheels unless you have +285 wide tires, which you really don't need.

@paranoid56 I hear what your saying but everything was torqued to spec. The bolts on the spacer snapped off.

I've had my Spidertrax on for 15k miles without issue. (knock on wood)

Was probably just the poor quality spacer as mentioned.

Did you torque to factory spec on hub to spacer and spacer to wheel?
I did 95# on both. Retorque at 90#'s and make sure they're good.
Wouldn't have had anything to do with your issue, but I see others using lube or antiseize between spacer and hub which I consider a bad idea.

The quality of the aluminum plays a big role as well. Not all metal is created equal. Sometimes you luck out with cheap chinesium, but more often than not that metal is far weaker than it needs to be. This is also why you dont buy the cheap Seat Jackers.

Typical chinese Amazon quality spacer. Probably made of pot-metal.
BORA 1" on mine puts wheel flush and torques properly, never had a single issue.

Saying it again just because of how important it is, BORA or Spidertrax have the good reputation and I wouldn't risk anything else. Also as annoying as it is its important to re move wheels to retorque the spacers after driving for a little bit. I run 1.25" ones with my stock wheels and snow tires in the winter to get a little nicer stance/fitment.
