    Anyone have any new ideas for this repair? Found some, but not sure if they will work for my situation. Plastic rivet is broke and the plastic connecting it to the leather arm rest part is broken. Best guess is a lot of plastic epoxy.

    Lookup armrest mod or something.. there is a writeup here with pics.. we swap out the fabric for leather..

    There’s a whole thread on this bru (tldr; 1/2 inch #10 screws, washers, spray adhesive, and using a drill bit to nuke the current plastic rivets just at the heads). Just did this over last couple weeks:

    +buy plastic door rivets: some of yours will break when disassembling

    Tried this, didn't work. With the plastic broken like it is, even if the rivet did stay, it wouldn't matter, but thanks for sure.

    JohnDoeFasho, that is an awesome looking repair. I fear that will not work in my situation, because my plastic is broken at the joint of the plastic rivet and the actual armrest.

    If that’s the case, plastic weld could indeed be the move if there’s nothing to drill into.

    It’s not that hard—have done it with my kayak prior!

    Send a closer pic of what’s going on tho… for the boys
