    Hello Tacoma World!

    My Name is Lauren and I have a 2004 2wd Tacoma..Cranberry:rofl:
It has 170,000 miles and has never been in an accident...until now!

I got into a fender bender on my passenger side. It drove away from the accident just fine so I assumed only the body needed repairs and took it to body shops for quotes, but not a mechanic. The frame is fine, but the apron and radiator support are bent so it will be taking a ride on a frame machine.

It has been sitting sad and injured on the curb for the past 3 months while I have been scouring the internet for used oem parts. I am finally ready to take it to the body shop, so yesterday I drove it around my neighborhood. The first thing I noticed when I started the engine was a loud blowing sound. Not sharp like an air compressor, deeper like a large fan.
Or maybe the RPM is just idling high and I'm mistaking it for a blowing noise. When driving the engine began revving rhythmically. It is especially loud in idle, but not as noticeable when I reached 3rd gear.

After some research I am wondering it is some sort of vacuum leak, failing IACV, or throttle body issue? I have an OBDII scanner but it is not showing me any codes. I took a video of the live data scan, where the revving is also audible, but I am now under the impression that I cannot upload a video on this forum.

I don’t understand the live scan data but one thing I am noticing is the FUELSYS1 is fluctuating from CL when the revving is up and then to OL - drive when the revving drops down. If anyone has suggestions of what to look at in the live data scan, or any ideas of where I can start trouble shooting, it would be much appreciated!

    Thank you everyone!!

    Lorn & Cran
