Hello everyone, I'm looking for some help trying to diagnose what could be causing the transmission (A340E) on my 2000 Tacoma SR5 to make a clanking noise. I've noticed that the noise only happens when the truck is going at a considerable speed (say above 40mph) whenever I stop accelerating and the truck is just cruising, a considerable noise coming from underneath the cabin starts. It is a similar noise to what I'd imagine a metallic bead would make hitting the insides of a metal container.
Some additional info: I first noticed the noise three weeks ago and it has gotten progressively worse. I don't think it has something to do with the noise but I changed the lower ball joints about a month ago, so the noise started two weeks after messing with the LBJ. I'm planning to do an ATF flush with Valvoline Maxlife this weekend, along with new filter and adding some red LubeGard. The transmission hasn't been serviced since I bought the truck (2 years ago) and I don't have previous records of service/maintenance.
    Any recommendation/help is much appreciated.
