Hey y’all. Going to start a thread on my honest feedback for the new 4th Gen MRR complete suspension system from Dobinsons. It’s been a 9 month wait and I finally had the opportunity to install the first prototype kit for consumers. *Do note that if you have an order or have been waiting, yours will ship late summer according to Dobsinons, mine is a tested/used prototype system*

I will try to update along the way with ride quality, use case scenarios, and any 3 way adjustments I make after 500 miles (break in period). I hope this will help those deciding on the wait vs available King/Icon/Fox systems.

    Reasons I went with Dobinsons:

Robust design and durable - I don’t have the time to have my truck suspension rebuilt every 25k, these should provide a long life before needing a full rebuild according to my use case (moderate offroading at the most).

Spring rate and weight options. Plentiful ratings to choose from.

Full kit system - adjustable panhard bar, adjustable lower and upper links, adjustable trailing arms with integrated skids.

    My exact build:

    MRR Suspension Full Kit:

DOBINSONS MRR 3 WAY ADJUSTABLE MONOTUBE RESERVOIR STRUT 2.6" - MRA59-A490

DOBINSONS COIL SPRINGS PAIR - C59-820R
    (0-150 front end weight)

DOBINSONS MRR 3 WAY ADJUSTABLE MONOTUBE RESERVOIR SHOCK 2.6" (COMFORT VALVED EXTENDED TRAVEL) - MRA59-A887

DOBINSONS COIL SPRINGS PAIR - C59-819VR
(150-300lb rear static weight I believe, perfect for a shell, RTT, and camping gear)

Icon Diff Drop (to help with CV angles, dobsinons has one but not available yet)

DOBINSONS REAR ADJUSTABLE PANHARD ROD - PR59-1421

DOBINSONS REAR ADJUSTABLE SWAY BAR LINK - SE59-591

DOBINSONS REAR ADJUSTABLE TUBULAR STEEL SERIES UPPER TRAILING ARMS (PAIR) - WA59-571K

DOBINSONS REAR ADJUSTABLE TUBULAR STEEL SERIES LOWER TRAILING ARMS (PAIR) - TOYOTA TUNDRA 3RD GEN - WA59-559K

JBA STD HC Upper Control Arms for Toyota Tacoma 2024 (1 to 3.5 inch lift)

Timbren 4th Gen Tacoma, 3rd Gen Tundra & Land Cruiser 250 Active Off-Road Bumpstops - Rear Kit

Short answer, like a cloud, mostly. Important to note that I’ve ran the stock bilsteins for entire time with the shell and recent months with the tent. For the last 24 hours, I’ve noticed immediately improved chatter comfort on deviations in the road like small and large pot holes and crappy surface changes in the road. The faster you go over once white knuckle sections, the smoother it is. First negative I’ve encountered is speed bumps very small in width, front shocks rebound feels way too quick, rear of the truck feels great. Large speed bumps much more compliant. Rear end soaks up bouncing and feels fantastic so the rear spring rating feels great so far. Brake dive is now non existent which makes me smile! Body roll feels about 50% reduced, much more predictable and stable.

I’ll be taking this offroad tomorrow and the weekend and will see how this translates from on road behavior to Offroad.
