Significant Hesitation in Acceleration

Soooo...info for all. Scheduled the Tacoma to get the update to the Blind-Spot monitoring system and mentioned the transmission. Service lady immediately said it will cost $90 for service to run a diagnostic. Wait. For a truck under warranty? Can't wait to talk to someone in person. This will be fun.

 

Remember, they get paid commission on service sales.

 

I learned this as well. They quote the diagnostic fee because IF they determine not warranty related, you are charged. If they determine warranty related, no charge.

 

One would hope that people using this function would have learned that the selection is setting the upper gear limit, not the lower gear limit. This isn't a manual. The vehicle will always engage from 1st up to the selected number.
