I let my CDL medical card lapse last year so I got automatically downgraded to a regular license.
Guess I didn't have visions of driving a dump truck or furniture truck in my future.

Here is the Raleigh pair, just off Hillsboro near NC State. Yes I looked up how much the house would cost to get me these trees.

    $600-700k. :-(

    Morning all:

Those giant meatballs look yummy Paul!
Looking at those blueberries makes me think I should be out getting wild ones, there are loads of them where we hunt, need to keep an eye out for rattlesnakes though at this time of the year

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/recent ratrace escapees. We're wrapping up a week "on the Cape" as they say here. Lots of sun, family, and fun. Tomorrow we suffer the crazies on the drive home.

I got a "CDL" in PA a longlonglong time ago, when they first began issuing them. All I had to do way check a box that said "yeah, I can do that." I couldn't, but that didn't stop me! I actually was jockeying trailers at the time but nothing over the road. I let it lapse when they started attaching real requirements. Good thing too because these days I can't back a trailer to save my a** :anonymous:

What kind of romaine lettuce do you plant? I've tried several varieties and can't seem to find the one that looks like yours.

The ducks are almost 6 months old... and we finally got some eggs. Found one a couple of days ago and it was cracked open and looked eaten, so we thought the ducks were eating their own eggs. This morning I find three that are intact and beautiful. It about f**kin' TIME!

UGH! Just when my truck (2010 Off Road 4x4) turned 140,000 miles, coming home from Costco, exiting the freeway, coming to the stop light, the brakes grabbed/ locked-up!

By shifting to neutral and back to drive and gassing it to release the grip (driver's side brakes, it felt and sounded like) I limped it to my driveway, a mile from the freeway.

Really sucks... I texted Jason (my mechanic)... Not sure how I will get the truck to him, other than a tow.

Other than that... HAVE a NICE WEEKEND!

You guys like redwood trees? Come out to California to the redwood national and state parks. Giant redwoods all hundreds of years old some exceeding 1000 and 2000 years old. Some over 100’ in circumference and 200 to 300+ feet tall. They are mind boggling, they are amazing.

The longer the trailer, the easier I find it is to back up. A U-Haul 4x8 is pretty tricky, a U-Haul 6x12 is reasonably easy, anything longer than that is a piece of cake.

I was watching one of those shows about remodeling houses after someone buys a fixer upper... and they said they spend $17,000 repainting the kitchen cabinets. Some of the prices they quote in these shows would certainly scare off me from buying a house that needs a remodel. Maybe that's the point...

There was no getting around the price of the doors. We insisted on pro via doors. Interlocking threshold is what sold me. The factory bakes in any color you want for 500 bucks. We had two entry doors at 3500.00$ a piece. So 7 k for just that. 8 grand more got us a picture window with casements and nine double hung . Figured a low humidity day would be the day to paint them.
