Good morning. New member. JUst got mu 2013 Tocoma. I heard a loud humming coming from the drivers side front. I assumed it was a wheel bearing. I changed it but noticed someone has been in there before. I went ahead and put the bearing in. I got everything back to together and the wheel was really hard to turn. The wheels are torqued to 85 foot pounds. The wheel was hard to turn before I changed the bearing. Passenger side turns fine. This is my first Toyota. Before I torqued the wheel down the wheel turned fine. Any suggestions?

4wd or 2wd. if 4wd did you torqe the large 30someting mm nut properly?

brakes could be dragging/hanging up indicating that you most likely need new caliper or rebuild them. take the pads out and see if the wheel is still hard to turn

35mm nut was torqued to proper specs. If the wheel is on hand tight. the wheel turns fine. The wheel gets hard to turn after the wheel is torqued down. It is 4WD.

I'm guessing the brake disk is being pushed up against the inside brake pad as you tighten the wheel nuts. As mentioned above, could be the caliper or the flex hose to the caliper.

Edit : could remove caliper from spindle and then install wheel and see if it turns properly to ensure it is brake related.

Yup.....@deputybill705 it is a frozen caliper that needs to be replaced. I also have a 2013 and exact same thing was happening to me.
